Even with our high-quality, Canadian-made filters, replacement frequency depends on your household environment.
For the best results, we recommend:
Families or households with multiple occupants – every 2–3 months
Homes with pets – every 1–2 months to manage fur and dander
Allergy or asthma sufferers – every 1–2 months for maximum relief
Frequent cooking or smoking indoors – every 1–2 months
Renovations or construction nearby – replace monthly
Low-occupancy homes (no pets) – every 3–4 months
Our filters are built to last, but replacing them more frequently ensures consistently clean air, peak HVAC performance, and peace of mind.
We offer high-quality, Canadian-made furnace air filters in a variety of standard sizes and MERV ratings, including 1", 4", and 5" filters.
A MERV 8 filter provides an excellent balance between indoor air quality and HVAC performance. It captures common household contaminants such as dust, pollen, lint, mould spores, and pet dander while allowing your furnace to maintain proper airflow.
Higher MERV-rated filters (such as MERV 11 or MERV 13) can capture smaller particles, but they also create greater airflow resistance. Unless your HVAC system is specifically designed for higher-efficiency filtration, a higher MERV filter can make your furnace and air conditioner work harder, increasing static pressure, reducing airflow, and potentially leading to higher energy consumption and additional wear on your equipment.
For most residential homes, MERV 8 is the manufacturer-recommended balance, providing effective filtration while helping your heating and cooling system operate efficiently and reliably.
Unused filters in their original condition may be returned within a reasonable period. Please contact us before returning any product.
